OIL CITY, Pa. — Venango County will celebrate a new “holiday” — Venango County Museum Day — on Saturday, April 14.

On that one day, admission to the Venango Museum of Art, Science & Industry in Oil City, and DeBence Antique Music World and the Venango County Historical Society in Franklin, will be free. All three museums will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for local families to see one of the reasons why tourists come to the Oil Region. Each of these museums has a unique collection that is sure to inspire and delight all who visit.

Also, Venango Museum of Art, Science & Industry and DeBence Antique Music World will stamp your NPS Passport on Venango County Museum Day. The Oil Region Alliance will also stamp NPS Passports at Venango Museum from 11 to 1 p.m., and at DeBence Antique Music World from 2 to 4 p.m. If you don’t already have an NPS Passport, you can purchase one at either of these sites. Adult passports are $9.95 and kids’ passports are $6.95. NPS Passports can also be stamped at Drake Well Museum from 10 am to 4 pm.

For more information on Venango County Museum Day, contact any of the participating museums. For details on the NPS Passport Program, call Toni Kresinski, Project Manager, at 800.483.6264 x 110.
