Over $200,000 Stolen from 92-Year-Old Venango County Man

CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Authorities are investigating the theft of over $200,000.00 from an elderly Franklin man.

Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Adam Haun said the known suspect transferred over $200,000.00 from a 92-year-old Cornplanter Township man’s money market account to his/her own personal account.

It is believed that the suspect has been spending a large amount of this money for his/her own personal benefit.

The transactions occurred between May 1, 2017, and January 5, 2018.

Trooper Haun said the transactions were made without the victim’s knowledge or consent.

The case remains under investigation.

The name of the suspect was not released.
