CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – A Parker man who sent explicit photos to a 14-year-old was sentenced to up to two years in jail.

On Wednesday, September 11, President Judge James Arner sentenced 30-year-old Nathan Scott Moser to a minimum of 48 days to a maximum of two years less one day confinement on one third-degree felony count of corruption of minors and three years of probation on one first-degree misdemeanor count of indecent exposure, with the sentences to run consecutively.

He will also be required to register as a Tier 1 sex offender under Pennsylvania Megan’s Law statute. Tier 1 sex offenders are required to remain registered for a 15-year period.

Moser pleaded guilty to the above charges on August 14.

As a result of the plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed:

– Photograph/Film/Depict on Computer Sex Act — Knowingly or Permitting Child, Felony 2
– Open Lewdness, Misdemeanor 3

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, Trooper Berggren, of Clarion-based State Police, was assigned to investigate a report of indecent exposure on July 3, 2018, after an initial report was taken on June 22, 2018, by Trooper Jarrett.

The complaint stated that Moser sent pictures of his genitals through Facebook Messenger to a known 14-year old victim.

According to the complaint, the 14-year-old victim stated Moser was aware of his/her age, Moser was 29 years old at the time of the incident, and the incident occurred while the victim was at a residence in Paint Township, Clarion County.

The complaint states that Trooper Berggren interviewed Moser, and Moser allegedly admitted to sending the photos. Moser also substantiated the victim’s claims by identifying himself in various pictures, including the explicit photographs. He provided Trooper Berggren with a written statement.

Moser was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill at 1:12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.
