Parking Enforcement Officer to Explain New Parking Kiosk in Franklin Next Week

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — The Franklin Parking Enforcement Officer will be assisting people with the new Kiosk system in Franklin next week.

According to Chief Kevin Anundson of the Franklin Police Department, the Parking Enforcement Officer for the City of Franklin will be in the 1200 Block of Elk Street in City Parking Lot C to assist people with any questions in regards to the new Kiosk system on the following days:

– Tuesday, April 3, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
– Thursday, April 5, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Chief Anundson explains that the City of Franklin would like to remind people that they can use the mobile app “Way to Park” that is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. Just enter “1080” for the Parking Zone, and it will display parking times and rates for the entire City of Franklin. Quarterly permits are also available on the app under parking zone “1081” and are $60.00.

Parking is enforced Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excluding all federal holidays.

The Kiosk system also accepts U.S. nickels, dimes, and quarters as well as credit and debit cards. There is a one dollar minimum on all credit card transactions.
