Patricia F. Bowen, 92 of Franklin passed away at 4:30 A.M. on Sunday July 30, 2017 at the Caring Place in Franklin.

Born in Franklin on May 21, 1925 she was the daughter of the late James Russell and Winifred Steele Ferringer.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School and worked a number of years at the former CPT and more recently at Time Machine in Franklin.

Pat was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Franklin for nearly 80 years and volunteered in many capacities at the church including offering counter.

She was a long time “Den Mother” for the Boy Scouts and also spent time volunteering in the Caring Place gift shop.

Pat enjoyed camping with her husband and family for many years in Mercer, Knox, Junction 1980 and RV Village.

She was an avid reader of Danielle Steel books and also bowled in the Elks Women’s Bowling League.

For the last 25 years, Pat and her husband spent their wedding anniversaries in Myrtle Beach and looked forward to that trip each year.

On October 22, 1946, she married James R. Bowen at First United Methodist Church by Rev. McKnight.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 71 years; four children, Debra Long and her husband Don of Mechanicsville, VA, Barbara Rosenberger and her husband Randall of Corvallis, OR, James Bowen Jr. and his wife Laurie of Franklin and Marcia Esposito of Fisher, IN; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law and aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Wednesday.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Little, Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Franklin, officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
