Patricia L. Smith

Patricia L. Smith, 84, of Franklin, passed away at 11:19 P.M. on Tuesday April 9, 2019 at The Caring Place.

Born in Franklin on July 26, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Rollo W. and Carrie E. Johnson Bell.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School and the former Spencer Hospital School of Nursing in Meadville. She worked for a period of time at the Spencer Hospital as an RN and later as a private duty nurse before deciding to stay at home and raise her family.

Patricia was a student of the Bible since 1966 and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Franklin. She enjoyed sharing her love for the Bible with others and worked hard to engrain that love into her children.

Mrs. Smith was a family oriented woman who always put her family and friends needs before her own. She taught valuable life lessons and skills to her children. She was the Mom who could always be counted on.

Patricia enjoyed God’s outdoor creations and always looked forward to watching the animals and birds in her yard. She also enjoyed going on drives to look at the fall leaves.

On December 24, 1955 she married the former Wallace D. “Pete” Smith and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1997.

Surviving are three daughters; Kathryn D. Smith, Marjorie A. Smith and Ellen L. Smith all of Franklin; a sister, Barbara E. Jordan and her husband Robert of Rockland, a daughter-in-law, Brenda J. Smith; two grandsons, Anthony M. Smith and Ian M. Smith and his girlfriend Tina Myers and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas M. Smith; infant son, Timothy Edward Smith; a sister a Esther L. Green and her husband Robert.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday April 28, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1410 Pittsburgh Rd. Franklin.
