Patty Joan (Eisenhuth) Courson of Clarion passed away on February 28, 2017 at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was 83 years of age.

Born on November 16, 1934 in East Brady, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Carl V. and Lulabell (Greenawalt) Eisenhuth. On August 25, 1951, she married Carl J. Courson, who survives. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage and raised a family together.

Our mother was the strongest person we ever knew. She was the glue that held this family together through good times and bad. She taught us life was not always fair, so pick yourself up and dust yourself off. Never give up and make no excuses. Most of all, she taught us to love each other, even when we didn’t feel like it. Dad and us kids will miss her so much because we loved her so much. We love you, Mom!

She is survived by her husband, Carl; her son, Roger “Keith” Courson and wife Debbie, of Clarion; her three daughters, Stacy Courson Hargenrader and husband Bernie, of Houma, LA, Shelly Courson McFadden and husband Jeff, of Strattanville, and Julie Courson Radaker and husband Ken, of Sligo; her grandchildren, Sabrina Pulliam, of Oklahoma, James Hargenrader, of Louisiana, Jonna Gilliland, of Butler, Jessica Glosser, fiancé Daniel Braught, and great-grand-daughter Danica, of Virginia, Jessica McFadden, of Virginia, Curtis Courson, of Clarion, Maquet Radaker, of Sligo, Brock Radaker, of Clarion, Kendra Rainey, of Sligo, and Tiffany Gagne, of Clarion; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Mark A. Courson.
