Paul R RankinPaul R. Rankin, 84, Tipton passed away Friday at Maryland Masonic Homes, Hunt Valley, Maryland.

He was born in Butler son of the late Orville Hunter and Edna Amanda (Hartzell) Rankin.

Paul married Naomi Miller in Oil City on March 17, 1955, she preceded him in death on October 13, 2010.

Surviving are his children, Raymond, Hope (Edward) Rektorik, and Gary (Mary Ann); and two granddaughters, Vanessa McDonald and Stacy Rankin.

Paul served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a locomotive engineer at Conrail, Altoona. He was a member of Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood; Jaffa Shrine, Legion of Honor, Greeters and Ushers; New Castle Consistory; F&AM Oil City #363 Petrolia Lodge; and Railroad Club.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday, March 27, 2017 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood.

Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
