Pauline J. Lalley

Pauline J. Lalley, 87, of Oil City, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Oakwood Heights in Oil City.

Born June 12, 1930 , n Tiro, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles K. and Norma P. Brown VanBuskirk.

Pauline was a 1948 graduate of Gettysburg High School in Gettysburg Ohio.

She was a long-time member of Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City, where she served on several committees.

Mrs. Lalley enjoyed offering her time to help others. She was a ten-year volunteer at UPMC Northwest and helped at Meals on Wheels.

She had been a member of the Zonta Club in Oil City.

Pauline worked as a bookkeeper for Worthington in the 1940’s and 1950’s, she was a teacher’s aide for the Cranberry School District in the 1960’s and was a teller for Venango Federal Savings and Loan before owning and operating her own dress shop, Milady’s.

On June 13, 1953, she was married to John R. Lalley who preceded her in death on March 2, 2002.

She is survived by two sons, Craig Lalley and his wife Betsy of Frederick, MD and Keith Lalley and his wife Tina of Oil City; six grandchildren, Samantha and Kristen Lalley, Steve Lalley, Rachel Mong, Nathan Lalley, and Nick Reisinger; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Buskirk and a sister, Sandy Brinker.

The family will receive friends at the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City from 1 to 2:30 pm Saturday where a funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm with Elder Ken Hall officiating.

Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oakwood Heights and AseraCare Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Pauline.
