VENANGO CO., Pa. — Permanent, year-round, 10-ton weight restrictions are being posted on Route 1008 (Merrick Street) in Pleasantville Borough, Venango County, and on Route 2035 (Williamson Road) in West Mead Township, Crawford County.

The postings are being made after traffic and engineering studies indicated the roads could be damaged by vehicles exceeding the 10-ton weight limit.

The weight restriction will apply to the entire length of Merrick Street – approximately 0.6 miles – from the intersection with Route 27 to the intersection with Routes 27/227.

The weight restriction on Williamson Road will apply from the end of T678 (Williamson Road) to the intersection of Williamson Road and Morgan Street – approximately one mile.

The 10-ton weight restrictions on both roads are to take effect on December 1, 2017.
