CLINTONVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, August 1, regarding the replacement of a bridge on Route 208 (Emlenton Road) over McKees Run in Clintonville Borough, Venango County.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Clintonville Borough Building on 109 Franklin Street, Clintonville, Pa.

The 17-foot-long concrete slab bridge is located on Route 208, about one-half mile east of the intersection with Route 308, and about one mile west of the intersection with Coal Valley Road.

The existing bridge was built in 1922 and is classified as structurally deficient. It is used by about 1,700 vehicles a day, on average.

Construction is scheduled to occur in 2018, and a detour is expected to be required during construction.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the project’s plans, proposed construction detour, and schedule.

Public comment on the project is welcomed.

The meeting will be held in conjunction with a regularly scheduled Clintonville Borough Meeting.
