Pennsylvania Commonwealth Flag Notifications Now Available Through AlertPA

| May 28, 2017

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on Frida announced that the public will now be able to receive flag notifications through the AlertPA, or Code Red, system.

The AlertPA System allows users to enroll online for a variety of emergency and weather alerts, health notifications, building alerts and other updates from state and federal agencies.

Current users will be able to log into their existing account and select “Flag Notifications” from the “Additional Notifications” section on the AlertPA website. New users will need to create an account and then select the option to receive flag notification alerts.

A press release will continue to be issued for all flag notifications, however, the AlertPA notification will be the only way for individuals to receive a direct notification regarding a change in the status of the United States and Commonwealth flags.

Individuals can still visit the Department of General Services website to see the current flag status and any current flag orders.

To create an account, or to select the Flag Notifications alert on existing account, visit AlertPa.
