Philip Neil Wallace, age 94, of Brookville, passed away on July 29, 2017 at Jefferson Manor.

Born on July 21, 1923 in Belltown, Jefferson County, PA, he was the son of the late William W. and Daisy (Painter) Wallace.

On February 7, 1948, he married the former Bertha Thompson who preceded him in death in 2015.

Philip was a member of the faculty of the College of Education at what is now Clarion University of Pennsylvania, last serving as director of student teaching services.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and was a Mason.

He is survived by his three sons, Richard Wallace and wife Kathy, of Brookville, Daniel Wallace and wife Ahlee, of Bagio City, Phillipines, and Andrew Wallace and wife Charlene, of Brookville; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Philip is also survived by two sisters, Betty Lou Lavosky, of Los Angeles, CA, and Mary Lou Kroh, of Brookville.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion.

As per his wishes there will be no public visitation or services and his body has been cremated.

The family will hold a private remembrance service at a later date.
