Phyllis WydroPhyllis Jean McFarland Weaver-Wydro went home to be with our Lord on March 4, 2017.

Born January 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Pearl & Albert McFarland.

She loved the Lord our God, and has gone to be in his presence, no longer to be here on earth she has graduated to the best part of all of our lives, to live peacefully and in the full Love & Grace our Lord.

She was married to the first Love of her life, the late Robert E. Weaver on August 5, 1947. Robert passed away June 24th, 1965. Together they had 4 children. Robert E. Weaver, Jr., Lester Prairie, Minnesota, Mary Christine Weaver-Elliott married to William K. Elliott of Dallas, Texas; the late Richard L. Weaver, and the late Stephen L. Weaver who was married to Ann Thomas Weaver.

She graduated from Oil City High School, Class of 1942, attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1945 with a degree in education & art.

Phyllis was a librarian in Boston, Massachusetts while her husband Robert Weaver attended Babson Institute of Business Administration in Massachusetts, she then was a teacher in the Oil City School System off & on for many years.

Phyllis later fell in love again after the loss of her first husband. Marrying a true gentleman she admired, stating what and intelligent & loving man he was, the late John Wydro in 1967, together they combined two families – late Jan Wydro, Paula Wydro-Phenicie, Philip J. Wydro, together with Robert E. Weaver, Jr., Mary Christine Weaver-Elliott, and the late Stephen L. Weaver.

Phyllis loved being with her family & friends. She loved her grandchildren, Ashleigh Weaver, Minneapolis, MN; Christopher Weaver, Minneapolis, MN; Jason Elliott, Dallas TX; Eric Elliott, Clarks Summit, PA and Ryan Elliott, SanDiego CA, Sam Weaver & Katie Weaver, Franklin PA; Maggie, Mary & Thomas Weaver, Franklin PA; Joe Weaver, Franklin PA, also a big part of her life- her loving step grandchildren: Colleen Logue-Rush; Kieren Logue-Gillum; Brian Logue; John Wydro; Jilliam Wydro-Barksdale.

She was blessed with many great grandchildren – along with many, many wonderful nieces & nephews whom she loved just like her own.

She enjoyed many social clubs such as Bridge Club and Duplicate Bridge Club. She belonged to The Oil City Club, The Franklin Club, The Oil City Garden Club, Belle Letters Club, Friends of the Library, Hundred Club of Oil City, and Wanango Country Club.

Along with her 1st husband, they loved playing cards, family outings at Stoneboro Lake, Lake Erie and Chautauqua Lake being with family & friends. Her 2nd husband, John & she, were avid bridge players & loved
to travel.

She enjoyed her home & gardening. Phyllis loved cooking, both she & John, along with a group of friends, started a Gourmet Club. She was a seamstresses, plus a beautiful painter/artist. Her greatest sayings
to her children was: “I do more with one hand than most people do with two” – “Never letting the disability, be a disability” also “God sure loved people, he made so many of them!” “There before the Grace of God, go I.”

She loved her family, friends and was so very close to her sister Patricia Richards, they were best friends throughout their lives. Phyllis just loved people, no matter who you were or what you did.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s, Oil City, PA and St. Patrick’s Church, Franklin, PA.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Robert E. Weaver in 1965, and her 2nd husband John Wydro in 2008: her son, Richard L. Weaver in 1959, son Stephen L. Weaver in 2013, and her stepson Jan Wydro: her mother, Pearl Breene-McFarland died in 1984; her father, Albert McFarland died in 1975; her sister & best friend, Patricia Richards 2006; her husband Don Richards 2015, and Albert McFarland in 2007.

The last years of her life, she moved to Texas where spent time with her daughter and her family.

Enjoying lunch, dinners & outings, along with the social affairs, wine parties, painting, bingo and friends she developed.

We are Thankful to all the people at Villagio Senior Living of McKinney & Amity Hospice, how they loved and took care of her. A special “Thanks” Sadie, for all her help.

We are also so “Very Thankful” to Reinsel’s Funeral Home for making these days so much easier to handle.

Friends will be received from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in St. Stephen’s Church with Fr. John Miller, Pastor, Presiding.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cancer Society, the MS Society, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
