PLEASANTVILLE, Pa. — Titusville-based Roser Technologies Inc (RTI) recently announced that it has completed the purchase of Vertical Seal Company (Vertical Seal) from Ampco‐Pittsburgh Corporation (NYSE: AP).

Vertical Seal was a division of Akers National Roll Company, an indirect subsidiary of Ampco‐Pittsburgh.

The company has been providing specialty manufactured components and services, mainly to the steel industry, throughout North America from its Pleasantville, Pa. location since 1949.

“With Vertical Seal’s long history in the community and reputation for producing high quality products, they seemed to be perfectly aligned with RTI and our core values. We are very excited to offer our customers the combined resources of RTI‐Vertical Seal Company, adding value with a larger foot print of product offerings all while having a “one stop” shop for their critical components,” said said Jack A. Roser, President and CEO of RTI.

RTI plans to maintain 54 full-time employees and continue the day‐to‐day manufacturing operations out of the Vertical Seal facility.

“We are very thankful to Ampco‐Pittsburgh for working with us through these negotiations – which were critical when trying to maintain the long history of employment within our community. Combined we are now over 150 employees. We’re very proud that Vertical Seal and the jobs that go with it will remain in the community and we are excited for any future opportunities that may arise from this deal.”

Roser Technologies Inc.(RTI) currently has 96 employees and provides continuous caster maintenance services to all major steel producers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. RTI designs, manufactures, and refurbishes caster mold and segment components along with other critical parts that are used to manufacture steel.
