Plow Truck Crashes into Car on Route 208

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A plow truck crashed into a car on Thursday morning on State Route 208 in Washington Township.

According to Marienville-based State Police, the accident occurred around 8:36 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the intersection of Eisenman Road and Route 208, in Washington Township, Clarion County.

The collision involved a 2013 International Harvester 7500 plow truck and a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze.

Police say the plow truck was traveling east on Eisenman Road toward Route 208, and the Chevrolet Cruze was traveling south on Route 208.

As the truck was approaching Route 208, the operator attempted to stop on the snow and ice-covered roadway but was unable to stop before it collided with the passenger side of the Chevrolet Cruze.

The plow truck came to a controlled stop in a parking lot out of the intersection

After the impact, the plow truck stopped at a parking lot near the intersection, and the car continued south of Route 208 and turned around in a local restaurant parking lot and returned to the scene.

Officer Rupp observed the following damages to the Chevrolet: the passenger side, the passenger door, the passenger rear door, the roof, the rear quarter panel, and the trunk.

No visible damage to the plow truck was observed.

No injuries were reported.

Operator 1 was charged with a traffic violation.

The names of the individuals involved were not released.
