FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Police were dispatched to the area of the Rocky Grove High School for a possible unknown domestic situation Friday afternoon.

According to a report released by the Sugarcreek Borough Police, a 9-1-1 call came into Venango County 9-1-1 at 12:10 p.m. and dispatchers heard a threatening remark followed by a loud commotion, but no one was on the line.

Dispatchers were able to ping the phone’s location to the area of the gym at Rocky Grove High School.

Police requested the building go into a lockdown due to the unknown situation.

Dispatchers were later able to determine the call was coming from a cell phone inside the building and directed police to the classroom.

All students checked their phones, and one student found that he/she had unintentionally pocket dialed 9-1-1 while in gym class, and his/her phone stayed connected for 13 minutes.

After it was confirmed that there was no emergency, the lockdown was lifted.

No charges and no school action is being taken against the student.

Sugarcreek Borough Police were assisted at the scene by the Franklin Police Department and the Venango County Sheriff’s Department.
