Police: Car vs Motorcycle Crash in Franklin; DUI Suspected

police lightsFRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Around 10:21 p.m. on June 12, Franklin Police were dispatched to an accident involving a car versus a motorcycle in the 700 Block of Elk Street, Franklin, Venango County.

Upon officers’ arrival to scene, they allegedly found the operator of the motorcycle to be DUI, according to police.

Following alleged failure of field sobriety testing, James R. Vath, of Stoneboro, was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and was transported to Franklin Police Department for chemical testing and processing, police say.

Vath was later released from police custody and charges of DUI will be filed via summons, according to police.

No details were provided on the crash.
