Police Charge Suspect After Victim Identifies Shooter

MERCER COUNTY, Pa. – According to sources, Wade L. Shaw recently gave police details that helped them identify the man who shot him.

According to police, 37-year-old Shaw of Bolde Drive, Hermitage, Pa., was shot three times in the back and buttocks at 4:10 a.m. Jan. 17 in the 1400 block of Bolde Drive.

After initially telling police he could not identify who shot him, Shaw gave police details that led to the arrest of 40-year-old Alfred L. Taylor of 636 Cedar Ave., Sharon, Pa.

According to sources, on Monday Hermitage police arrested Taylor at his home on charges of attempted homicide, attempted first-and third-degree murder, aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, and reckless endangerment.

District Judge Ronald E. Antos of Farrell arraigned Taylor.

He was sent to Mercer County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Taylor’s preliminary hearing is set for April 12.
