State Police: Missing Venus Man Found in Meadville

VENUS, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police have located a missing Venus man.

According to a release issued by Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Gross, 44-year-old Burton David Porter was found safe in Meadville on Tuesday.

Porter was reported missing by his spouse last week.

Police say Porter left work around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, and was observed at the north side Country Fair in Oil City.

According to police, Porter requested a known female to text his wife that he had to come into town and get some gas, and he would be home soon.

Porter had last been seen operating a 2002 black Honda Accord. An unknown passenger was observed in his vehicle.

No further details were released.
