Police: Driver Flees Scene of Cornplanter Twp. Rollover Crash

CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 11:46 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, an unknown person was driving a 2017 Toyota 4Runner south on Halyday Run Road.

The vehicle was traveling downhill around a turn when it exited right berm and struck a snow-covered culvert causing the vehicle to roll over and then land upright.

The driver then fled the scene.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Venango Towing.

Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
