Multiple Police Departments Respond to Domestic Dispute in Oil CIty

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – A 34-year-old Oil City man is facing charges after a domestic dispute on East Bissell Avenue Thursday evening.

Oil City police responded to a domestic dispute involving a man with a baseball bat at 19 East Bissell Avenue around 11:31 p.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, police could not locate the suspect.

Police found the suspect, 34-year-old Aaron Park, of Oil City, hiding in the backyard in brush.

Park was taken into custody and placed in Venango County Jail in leiu of $25,000 bail.

Sugarcreek Borough Police and PA State Police assisted at the scene.

Park is facing felony charges of Aggravated Assault and misdemeanor charges of Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, and Disorderly Conduct.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 20.

No further details were released on the incident and police did not indicate if anyone was injured in the dispute.
