Police: Icy Road Conditions Contribute to Three Crashes on I-80 in Scrubgrass Township

SCUBGRASS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say three one-vehicle accidents occurred on Interstate 80 on November 22 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

Wisconsin Man Escapes Injury After Losing Control of Vehicle

Police say a one-vehicle crash involving Erik M. Worcester, 24, of Cedarburg, WI, occurred around 10:30 a.m., in Scrubgrass Township.

Worcester was traveling in the left lane of I-80 west when he lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Colorado.

Worcester traveled across the right lane and onto the northbound berm, striking a guide rail with the front end of his vehicle.

The Chevrolet Colorado slid approximately 50 feet after impact, coming to a final rest facing north in the right lane, say police.

Worcester was wearing a seat belt and escaped injury in the collision.

PSP Franklin were assisted at the scene by Clintonville VFD and Hovis Towing.

Worcester was cited with a traffic violation.

Vehicle Crashes into Median on I-80; 23-Year-Old New York Woman Injured

According to police, a one-vehicle crash involving Erica M. Lint, 23, of Bronx, NY, occurred around 11:00 a.m. on November 22, in Scrubgrass Township.

The crash occurred as Lint was traveling on I-80 in her 2013 Toyota Corolla.

Police say Lint lost control of her vehicle, exited the roadway, and went into the median of I-80.

Lint was treated for injuries of unknown severity by Emlenton VFD.

Lint’s passenger — Esmelyn George, 23, of Bronx, NY — was uninjured in the crash.

Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

Lint was cited with a traffic violation.

Driver Loses Control, Rolls Vehicle into Median of I-80

Police say a 35-year-old Harrisburg woman was involved in a one-vehicle accident on November 22 at approximately 11:00 a.m., in Scrubgrass Township.

The crash occurred as Janetta T. King, 35, of Harrisburg, was traveling on I-80 in a 2004 Ford Explorer.

Police say King failed to maintain control of her vehicle on the icy road.

The vehicle spun off the road and rolled over upon entering the median.

King was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was uninjured.

King was cited with a traffic violation.
