Police: Intoxicated Man Lying on Road Allegedly Tells Officers to ‘Get Out of His House’

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Police say an incident of Public Drunkenness occurred around 2:40 a.m. on May 30, on the 700 block of Mercer Road, in Franklin, Venango County.

Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Old Mercer Road for a report of a male lying in the roadway, according to police.

Upon arrival, Christopher Winkler, of Franklin, was found lying in the middle of the road, police say.

Winkler was awakened by officers and asked why he was lying on the roadway, and he allegedly stated that “he was in his living room and to get out of his house,” according to police.

He was allegedly observed to highly intoxicated and arrested for public intoxication, police say.

He is being charged via a non-traffic citation.
