OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police are investigating two rapes that allegedly occurred in Venango County over 35 years ago.

According to police, two known victims, a 47-year-old male from Washington state and a 46-year-old female from Ohio, reported rapes involving a known suspect that occurred in Oakland Township, Venango County, between August and October of 1983.

Police say the known suspect raped the victims on separate occasions.

The incidents were reported on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
