Police Investigating Assault on 8th Street Bridge

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Police in Franklin are investigating an altercation that occurred on the 8th Street Bridge earlier this month.

Around 5:52 a.m. on February 8, the Franklin Police Department was notified of two males in a physical altercation on the 8th Street Bridge in Franklin.

Police say a known male victim reported that he was traveling across the 8th Street Bridge when Romaine Flinspach stopped his 1999 Chevrolet truck in the roadway and approached the door of the victim’s car.

Flinspach then allegedly struck the victim in the mouth, causing a cut to his inner lip. The victim then exited his car and the two men began to strike and physically wrestle each other until going over the guard rail.

Both men then returned to their vehicles and left the scene.

The second man’s name was not released.
