OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Police in Oil City are investigating an attempted theft from a motor vehicle that occurred earlier this week.

The Oil City Police Department investigated a suspicious person call in the area of Keith Avenue around 10:13 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5.

Police made contact with the caller who said they saw an individual inside their vehicle. Prior to police arrival, the vehicle owner yelled and the suspect fled the scene without stealing anything.

The vehicle owner was unable to give a detailed description of the individual but did confirm that the suspect was a male.

This incident remains under investigation.
