Police Investigating Fraudulent Purchase in Oakland Township

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police are investigating an incident of fraud that took place on Sunville Road in Oakland Township, Venango County.

Police say this crime occurred on August 26, 2015 as an unknown perpetrator attempted to purchase an underground dog fence using a 43-year-old woman’s debit card.

The amount of the transaction was $279.95.

Police say the transaction was discovered in time and the package was intercepted and returned to the distributor and the victim was reimbursed.
