Police Investigating Sexual Assault in Frenchcreek Township

FRENCHCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police are investigating a sexual assault in Frenchcreek Township, Venango County.

According to police, a known female went to the Franklin-based State Police barracks with a 12-year-old victim to report the victim was sexually molested by a known suspect.

The woman, who is the juvenile victim’s mother, told police that the suspect has been
molesting the victim since 2013, and that it had occurred on multiple occasions over the last 5 years.

The woman told police the victim brought this information to her attention on Saturday, July 7.

Other details and names of involved persons will not be released at this time due to the nature of the investigation.

The investigation is on-going.
