FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Police say an investigation into theft from an area business has led to additional charges being filed against a Franklin man who is already incarcerated on burglary charges.

According to police, 37-year-old Jacob Olson, of Franklin, is being charged with the following:

– Burglary — Not Adapted for Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 2
– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Felony 2
– Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 1
– Defiant Trespass Fenced/Enclosed, Misdemeanor 3

Police say the charges stem from a month-long investigation that found Olson and an unknown female removed over $2,000.00 in goods from a business on Allegheny Boulevard. Olson then allegedly used stolen carts from four area businesses to remove a large number of items from the store and transport them south by following the railroad tracks and storing the items under the Washington Crossing Bridge for pickup.

Olson is scheduled to be arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey.

He currently remains lodged in the Venango County Jail in lieu of $15,000.00 monetary bail on similar related theft charges filed on September 30.
