Police: Man Falls Asleep at the Wheel, Rolls Car on Route 322

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Marble man fell asleep at the wheel and rolled his car on US Route 322 in Cranberry Township on Friday morning.

According to Franklin-based State Police, 42-year-old Mark A. Mooney, of Marble, was traveling west on Route 322 in Cranberry Township, Venango County, when he fell asleep behind the wheel around 9:48 a.m. on Friday, February 8.

Mooney’s 2012 Ford Fusion crossed over the fog line of the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and then rolled over onto its roof.

Mooney was not injured. He was not using a seat belt.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The car was removed from the scene by Venango Towing.
