Police: Man Tears Down Door, Throws It at Woman During Dispute in Knox

KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — A 49-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly tore down a door and threw it at a woman during a dispute in Knox Borough last week.

According to court documents, the Knox Borough Police Department filed the following criminal charges against 49-year-old Brian Kitelinger, of Leeper, on August 29:

  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
  • Criminal Mischief — Damage Property, Summary

He was arraigned at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, in Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk’s office.

Unable to post $1,000.00 cash bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, with Judge Turk presiding.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, sometime between 7:19 p.m. and 8:01 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, Brian Kitelinger engaged in a verbal argument with a known woman at a residence on Miller Street in Knox Borough, Clarion County.

The complaint states that Kitelinger ripped a door off of its hinges and threw it at the woman, causing an injury to her ankle.

Kitelinger also spat on the woman and shattered a mirror that belonged to the woman’s minor child, according to the complaint.
