Police Release Details of Sunday Night Crash in Sugarcreek Borough

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a driver crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a guide rail in Sugarcreek Borough on Sunday evening.

According to police, around 7:04 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 28-year-old Stephen W. Rossi, of Franklin, was operating a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, traveling on Patchel Run Road in Sugarcreek Borough.

Police say Rossi’s vehicle left the right lane of travel, crossed the center line into the oncoming lane, and struck a guide rail on the left side of the road. The vehicle then re-entered the right lane of travel and came to a final rest on the berm.

Rossi was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

He was cited for a speeding violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lowry Auto Body and Towing.
