Police Release Details on Car vs. Motorcycle Crash

CHERRYTREE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Police have released information on an accident that left two people injured on Friday.

State police in Franklin say the accident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Route 8 in Cherrytree Township when a motorcycle operated by 56-year-old Alan G. Carbaugh, of Titusville, Pa., was slowing down to make a left turn and was subsequently struck from behind by a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by 24-year-old Tori J. Harrington also of Titusville.

Police said Carbaugh was thrown from his motorcycle during the crash.

He was transported to Titusville Hospital for treatment of injuries of an unknown severity.

Police say Carbaugh was not wearing a helmet.

His current condition is unknown.

Harrington sustained minor injuries in the crash.
