Police Release Details on Cornplanter Crash; Oil City Man Injured

CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Franklin have released details surrounding a recent accident in Cornplanter Township.

Police say the accident happened on January 23 around 10:00 a.m. when a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer operated by 84-year-old Richard Coogan, of Oil City, crashed into the rear of a 2011 International Harvester operated by 51-year-old Monte Young of Deerfield, Ohio.

According to police, Young’s vehicle was stopped for a school bus that was loading children.

Coogan sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Young was not injured.

Cornplanter VFD and Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.
