Police Release Details on Crash That Left Two Oil City Teens Injured

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – State police in Franklin have released details surrounding a crash in Cranberry Township, Venango County that left two teens injured.

State police said the accident happened December 8 around 10:58 p.m. on Deep Hollow Road in Cranberry Township when a 17-year-old Oil City girl lost control of her 1999 Mercury Tracer while attempting to negotiate a turn.

Police said the vehicle slid off the roadway and impacted a ditch before rolling over.

The vehicle then crashed into a tree.

According to police, the driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

A 16-year-old Oil City girl who was a passenger in the vehicle sustained major injuries.

There’s no word on her current condition.

Both occupants were wearing safety belts.

Community Ambulance and Seneca VFD assisted at the scene.
