SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — One person was injured in a rollover crash on Emelenton-Clintonville Road in Scrubgrass Township earlier this week.

According to police, around 2:16 p.m. on March 4, a 2005 Toyota Scion TC operated by a 17-year-old male from Kennerdell was traveling east on Emlenton-Clintonville Road in Scrubgrass Township.

Police said the teen lost control of the Scion when it hit a patch of ice while he was passing another vehicle. The vehicle then hit an embankment on the southern berm of the road and rolled over, coming to a final rest on its roof.

The driver of the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. Two 17-year-old passengers in the vehicle were also wearing seatbelts and were not injured.

The driver was cited for a traffic violation.

Emlenton VFD and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
