Police Release Details on Emlenton Hit-and-Run Crash

EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) – State police in Franklin have released details on a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Emlenton Boro on October 7.

Police said the accident took place around 1:40 a.m. when 29-year-old Jennifer M. Evans, of Gallipolis, OH, lost control of her 2001 Pontiac Trans Am while traveling at a high rate of speed on Emlenton Clintonville Road.

Evans’ vehicle subsequently left the roadway and struck a guard rail.

According to police, Evans and a passenger, Anthony K. Stout, of Gallipolis, OH, fled the scene on foot.

Stout was later transported to Hamot Medical Center in Erie for treatment of moderate injuries.

It’s unknown if Evans was injured in the crash.

She was cited for driving too fast.
