OAKLAND TWP., Pa. — Franklin-based State Police say a theft occurred on State Route 428, in Oakland Township, Venango County.

Police say this incident occurred as a known suspect was residing with a 37-year-old woman for a period of approximately three weeks.

According to police, prior to the suspect leaving the residence, the suspect stole approximately $2,800.00 to $3,000.00 in US currency belonging to the victim.

The suspect fled the residence undetected sometime between 1:30 a.m and 10:30 a.m. on October 13.

The investigation continues.
