OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Oil City Police say around 5:33 p.m. on August 13, a motor vehicle occurred on Seneca Hill (State Route 257) involving three vehicles and two houses.

Police responded to the 1100 block of East 2nd Street for a multi-vehicle accident in which a vehicle lost its brakes coming down Seneca Hill and jumped onto the curb sidewalk area near the intersection with State Route 62 and then traveled back onto the roadway. The vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle, pushing it across the center lane, causing it to strike a third vehicle, according to police.

The third vehicle spun around as the first vehicle continued to push the second vehicle causing it to jump the sidewalk and strike a porch, causing severe damage, police say.

The first vehicle then continued and struck another porch, causing severe damage, according to police.

All three vehicles sustained major damage in the crash, police say.

Police report two adults and five juveniles were transported to UPMC Northwest for evaluation of what appeared to be minor to moderate injuries.

No names have been released.

Assisting at the scene were Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, State Police, Community Ambulance Service, Minich’s Towing, and Venango Towing.
