Police Release Details on Two Injured in Weather-Related Crash in Sugarcreek

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) — Two people were injured after a vehicle crash in Sugarcreek Borough earlier this month.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 4:26 p.m. on February 17, 24-year-old Lyndsey R. King, of Oil City, was driving a 2008 Chevy Cobalt north on Route 8 when it slid on a snow-covered road, spun and crossed into the southbound lane before colliding with a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by 64-year-old Christian Porter, of Franklin.

Both drivers were taken to UPMC Northwest by Reno Ambulance for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts.

King was charged with a traffic violation.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Reno Volunteer Fire Department and Lowry’s Towing.
