Police Report Identity Theft in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A incident of identity theft occurred on the 200 block of 2nd Street, in Pleasantville Borough, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, an unknown perpetrator(s) used a fraudulent ID card to make changes to a 35-year-old Pleasantville man’s Verizon Wireless account. Six cellular phones were also charged to the victim’s account.

Police say this activity occurred in a retail establishment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The time of the incident is unknown.
