Police Report Possible DUI-Related Crash in Rockland Township

state_policeROCKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Franklin say around 6:15 a.m. on August 8, a suspected DUI crash occurred along Pittsville Road in Rockland Township, Venango County.

According to police, the crash occurred as a 2000 GMC Sonoma was traveling south on Pittsville Road and reportedly some deer ran onto the roadway, prompting the driver to steer away from them and off the left side of the road, getting stuck in a ditch.

The driver was transported to UPMC in Seneca for a blood draw with DUI charges to be filed upon the test results.

No other information was provided.

The name of the driver was not released.
