Police Respond to Domestic Assault in Franklin; 47-Year-Old Man Taken into Custody

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Around 9:00 p.m. on July 10, Franklin Police were dispatched to Elk Street in Franklin for an assault.

Through the course of the investigation, officers found that 47-year-old Darnell Maurice Butler, of Cochranton, aka Kato, had allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend and another male victim after being asked to leave.

Police say Butler later returned to the residence and allegedly broke into the locked front door.

He then allegedly assaulted the male victim again and then left on foot, according to police.

Both victims received physical injury as a result of the assault.

Butler was later located at another Franklin residence and taken into custody.

Butler was with the following offenses:

– Burglary
– Defiant Trespass
– Simple Assault
– Harassment
– Disorderly Conduct

He was arraigned before Judge Fish on July 11.
