FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Police Department say an incident of domestic violence occurred around 6:17 p.m. on December 21 on Pacific Street, in Franklin, Venango County.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic assault on Pacific Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both 55-year-old Rickie Allen Peterson and the victim.

It was determined that Peterson physically assaulted the victim, leaving injuries on the victim’s head and hands.

He was arrested and arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Possession Of Marijuana, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Peterson is free on $15,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on December 28 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
