Police Respond to Suspected DUI Crash in Rockland Township

ROCKLAND TWP. , Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a suspected DUI crash occurred on Sunday afternoon on Rockland-Cranberry Road, in Rockland Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 3:40 p.m. on June 11, a 2004 Ford Explorer was traveling south on Cranberry-Rockland Road, when the vehicle left the roadway near the intersection of Coal City Road and struck a ditch.

The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI while operating a motor vehicle; he admitted to police that he had consumed several shots of whiskey while driving.

The name of the driver was not released.

No other information was provided.
