OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred in Oakland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 10:51 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 36-year-old Gregory A. Nageotte, of Oil City, was operating a 2005 Ford Explorer traveling north on State Route 428 just south of Mitchell Road.

Nageotte was traveling behind 67-year-old Barbara S. Larkin, of Oil City, who was operating a 2015 Toyota RAV4, also traveling north on State Route 428.

Police say Larkin slowed down to turn into a driveway, and Nageotte failed to notice and struck Larkin’s vehicle from behind.

Nageotte, Larkin, and Larkin’s passenger, 59-year-old Elaine L. Klapec, of Oil City, were all wearing seatbelts.

All occupants suffered suspected minor injuries but refused transport.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene by Venango Towing.
