Police Searching for Cranberry Man Wanted on Strangulation Charges

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Franklin are searching for a Cranberry man wanted on strangulation and simple assault charges.

According to a release issued late Sunday evening by Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Spence, 21-year-old Gaven James Rinker allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a 19-year-old Franklin woman around Noon on Saturday.

The incident occurred at a residence along Pear Street in Cranberry Township.

Rinker is wanted on second-degree felony strangulation charges and second-degree misdemeanor simple assault charges.

The charges were filed Saturday at Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
