Police Seek Information About Fuel Theft in Tionesta

TIONESTA Borough, Pa. (EYT) — According to Marienville-based State Police, an incident of theft occurred at Haller’s General Store, on Elm Street, in Tionesta Borough, Forest County.

Police say on November 17 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., a known suspect pumped $30.00 in gasoline into his vehicle at Haller’s and attempted to pay by credit card, but the credit card was denied and the suspect had no other means of paying for the fuel.

A Haller’s employee completed a form with the suspect’s information and gave instructions to pay for fuel within 24 hours.

The suspect has failed to pay for the gasoline as of November 20, 2014.

The investigation continues.
