Franklin Police Seek Info on Man Accused of Sending Harassing Messages to Teen

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Sugarcreek Police are asking the public for information on a male perpetrator who has been harassing a 14-year-old teen.

The Sugarcreek Police Department along with the Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate an incident of harassment that occurred around 6:44 p.m. on December 21, in the area of Front Street, Franklin.

According to police, a male perpetrator has sent several harassing messages to a 14-year-old victim and has been in the area of the victim.

Police say the perpetrator is said to be driving a silver mid-size Toyota/Mazda type car with a load exhaust. This vehicle has been seen around the Rocky Grove area on several occasions.

The suspect is vaguely familiar with the victim through social media sites, according to police.

Sugarcreek Police say that they cannot stress enough to the public to use the available filters and knowing who you are communicating with in social media. Personal photographs and personal content must be kept to known friends and yourself.
